Is Booker’s Apprentice Batch an Approachable Whiskey?

Booker’s Apprentice Batch is a whiskey that will knock your socks off.

It’s big and bold with a ton of heat that is backed up by flavor.

This is not a whiskey for beginners.

Is Booker’s Apprentice Batch Complex?

Booker’s Apprentice Batch has a few layers of flavor and complexity.

It starts out with the nose being a nice mix of sweet and spicy.

It’s not as caramel-forward as other Booker’s batches.

This one offers a bit more charred, smokey oak notes and a bit more spice and pepper flavors.

Layered into each sip is a bit of cinnamon-toasted nuts, hints of light fruits and citrus, with a bit of vanilla.

The finish is hot and spicy but doesn’t linger quite as long as some other batches of Booker’s.

The heat hits upfront and then dissipates leaving you with a nice lingering spice and pepper on your palate.

What are Booker’s Apprentice Batch’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Booker’s Apprentice Batch’s strongest attribute is the same as all the other batches of Bookers… big and bold flavors.

With each sip of Booker’s, you are hit with a blast of bold flavor that will wake up all of your taste buds.

Apprentice Batch offers the same, but with a bit of twist on the normal Booker’s batches.

Rather than being very caramel and oak-forward, Apprentice Batch offers a bit more on spice and pepper paired with a tiny bit of smokiness like charred oak.

Is Booker’s Apprentice Batch a go-to whiskey?

I’m always a fan of Booker’s whiskey so I try to pick up every batch if I can catch them in the store.

They are a fairly limited release and if you miss them, they can be quite hard to find.

With that being said, I usually reserve my bottles of Booker’s for special occasions and to share with friends.

Booker’s Apprentice Batch will be the same.

Is Booker’s Apprentice Batch priced accurately to its quality?

Booker’s Apprentice Batch does deliver on its quality.

While $99 is a bit pricey for a bottle of bourbon, if you’re looking for a bottle jam-packed with flavor, Booker’s is always a solid purchase.

Conclusion for Booker’s Apprentice Batch

Booker’s Apprentice Batch has some really great tasting notes to it.

While I still think my favorite Booker’s batches would be the Booker’s Lumberyard Batch and Booker’s Beaten Biscuits, Booker’s Apprentice Batch is a solid purchase.

If you’re a fan of big flavorful whiskey and aren’t afraid of a little hit, I’d pick up a bottle of this one if you see it on the shelf.
