About Secret Whiskey Society
It all started when Brad and Chuck decided to invest in a bottle of Balvenie 21. Chuck had a lineup of 6 different Balvenie bottles and we blind-tasted them to determine our favorite. We really enjoyed breaking down each bottle and seeing what flavor notes we could pull from each bottle.
Since that moment, we’ve been tasting, comparing, and breaking down just what makes a whiskey bottle unique.
Still to this day, The Balvenie 21 Year is still our favorite whiskey.
We hope to continue adding features that will help build a community that can discuss and share the finer points of whiskey together.
About Brad
Brad has always been a fan of whiskey but started getting more serious about experiencing whiskey and reviewing them 5 years ago.
Brad graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. He then learned to code and started working full-time developing cybersecurity software. As a hobby on the side, he started creating YouTube videos collecting and reviewing video games, and live streaming on Twitch. His channel has over 10 million views and has learned how to create a community around things he is passionate about.
By combining the two skills of coding and social media, he branched out and started his own SEO and digital marketing business. These web development and coding skills are what have brought this website to life.
He has a collection of over 300 whiskeys and has trained his palate over the years by sampling hundreds of whiskeys and wines. His goal is to review whiskeys and bring you honest opinions about what whiskey he thinks you will enjoy most and the bottles that are worth the money.
About Chuck
Chuck is a whiskey enthusiast. He began his whiskey journey about 15 years ago while sharing some good whiskey with some great friends. He started sampling and collecting whiskeys more seriously about 5 years later.
To date, Chuck has been lucky enough to try nearly 200 different whiskeys and has enjoyed sharing his whiskey knowledge and experience with local friends. He decided he wanted to share it with more people and thus, the Secret Whiskey Society was born.
While Chuck loves a good whiskey neat, he doesn’t want to leave out cocktails! Even though he’s fairly new to the craft cocktail scene, he enjoys exploring and trying new things.
Here in the Secret Whiskey Society, we want our members to discuss, review, and talk about all things whiskey and cocktails, while also meeting some great people, and sharing some great times. Our goal is to help our members find new recipes and engage in conversation.
