Palate: Lemon tartness, extreme sweetness, tea flavor, a bit of spice, and light whiskey notes
Finish: Smooth easy finish with heavy tartness and a ton of sweet sugar
Is Twisted Tea Whiskey an Approachable Whiskey?
Twisted Tea Whiskey is only 32.5% ABV and has a smooth finish, but it is far too sweet and tart for my own preference.
I would prefer to drink the Twisted Tea cans of malt beverage over this whiskey product.
With that being said, this would be a product that I would recommend mixing into a batch of regular iced tea to add sugar and sweetness while packing it with a nice amount of alcohol at the same time.
Is Twisted Tea Whiskey Complex?
Twisted Tea Whiskey is pretty straightforward.
It isn’t technically a whiskey because it’s only 32.5% Alcohol, but it says that it is “Made with Real Whiskey”.
As you drink it, you can tell that whiskey is the base layer of flavor, but it is so overpowered by sweet sugar, lemon tart, and tea flavors that I wouldn’t even consider it a whiskey.
It’s more like a liqueur than a whiskey.
What are Twisted Tea Whiskey’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Sugar, Lemon, Tea. That’s what you get from this one.
Is Twisted Tea Whiskey a go-to whiskey?
I can’t really see anyone drinking this whiskey neat or on the rocks, so I would assume that anyone buying this would be mixing it with their own batches of iced tea to spice up their drinks.
Is Twisted Tea Whiskey priced accurately to its quality?
For $20, this could be a bottle that you would purchase to supply a giant batch of spiked Iced Tea at a summer party or at a cookout.
Conclusion for Twisted Tea Whiskey
This is a bottle I will be reserving for my next cookout and making a nice and tasty batch of spiked iced tea.
I’ll also probably experiment with this bottle and see if I can make any tasty cocktails out of this because it does have nice flavors, they’re just too overpowering for me on this tasting while sipping it neat.
Overall, I would only buy this bottle if you’re planning to make a batch of cocktails and are looking for a nice sweet, citrusy, tea addition to the mix.
