Nose: Light caramel, butterscotch, toasted oak, rye spice, light fruits, citrus
Palate: Honey and caramel, toasted oak, a touch of vanilla, orange zest, rye spice, pepper
Finish: Light finish with a bit of heat to it – leaves you with a honey and caramel flavor with a bit of fruit then twists into a lingering rye spice and pepper on the tail end

Stoll & Wolfe is pretty easy to drink.
It goes down smoothly and is something anyone could enjoy.
Is Stoll & Wolfe Complex?
This Stoll & Wolfe bourbon and rye blend combined 80% bourbon with 20% rye whiskey.
That means that it takes the flavor profiles of those two mash bills and combines them to create a unique combination of flavors.
This pour starts out with light honey and caramel at first and then comes through with a nice amount of citrus flavor.
It finishes out with balanced rye spice and a hint of pepper.
What are Stoll & Wolfe’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Stoll & Wolfe’s strongest attribute is that you get a bit of both worlds – sweet bourbon flavors with just a bit of rye spice in the mix.
Is Stoll & Wolfe a go-to whiskey?
This bottle of Stoll & Wolfe is a limited release so I wouldn’t use it as a daily sipper.
If I could get a bottle of this regularly for around $40, I could easily see it being a go-to whiskey.
Is Stoll & Wolfe priced accurately to its quality?
Stoll & Wolfe Bourbon and Rye blend is a limited release from Stoll & Wolfe. It is also one of the few Pennsylvania distilleries that I have sampled and I was happy to purchase a bottle and support local distilleries in my area.
Conclusion for Stoll & Wolfe
Stoll & Wolfe bourbon and rye blend has a nice balance to it and is very easy to drink.
I’ll be curious to try their standard Rye whiskey and Bourbons to see how those stack up to this blend.
