Is New Riff Silver Grove Approachable?
New Riff Silver Grove is a big and bold bourbon.
It is packed with tons of flavor and offers a very deep flavor profile that may be a bit strong for beginners, but will certainly be appreciated by experienced whiskey drinkers.
Is New Riff Silver Grove Complex?
New Riff Silver Grove Bourbon is quite complex and full of depth and flavor.
It has the standard charred oak, rich caramel, and vanilla notes of New Riff’s standard bourbon with the same mash bill.
But since this is New Riff’s first-ever blend at full cask strength, it is packed with all the rich flavors that come directly from the high-rye bourbon whiskey and barrel.
The finish is quite bold and enjoyable and leaves you with a flavor that lasts a very long time and invites you to drink more.
What are New Riff Silver Grove’s strongest attributes/flavors?
New Riff Silver Grove’s strongest attribute is its powerful cask strength flavor and finish.
I’m a huge fan of the standard New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon, but this bottle takes it a step further and offers an even bolder expression of the whiskey.
Is New Riff Silver Grove a go-to whiskey?
New Riff Silver Grove is a 2023 limited-edition release of New Riff inspired by a 1933 bottling of “Silver Grove” bourbon distilled in prohibition in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I picked this bottle up while visiting the best bourbon distilleries on my Kentucky Bourbon Trail Trip for my birthday with my dad.
I got to meet the owner of New Riff and got all of my bottles signed including this one and my New Riff 6 Year Malted Rye.
I reserve this bottle to drink for special occasions or with my friends who love New Riff as much as I do.
Is New Riff Silver Grove priced accurately to its quality?
New Riff Silver Grove is an excellent bottle and delivers on its price tag.
If you’re a fan of high-rye bourbon with lovely pepper and spice notes, you should absolutely buy a bottle of this if you see it on the shelf.
And if you can’t find this bottle, be sure to pick up either the New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon or New Riff Single Barrel Rye Whiskey.
They are all excellent.
