Is New Riff Bourbon Approachable?
New Riff Bourbon is very approachable.
While it does have a heavy bit of rye spice and peppery notes, it is still quite smooth and easy to drink.
The finish is full and rich but not overpowering.
This is a whiskey both beginners and experienced whiskey drinkers will enjoy.
Is New Riff Bourbon Complex?
New Riff Bourbon has a few layers of flavor and depth to it for being only $40.
The bourbon is more rich than most whiskeys you will find at this price point.
You get all the classic bourbon flavors like rich caramel, heavy charred oak, vanilla, and rye peppery spices with additional hints of citrus and light fruits.
The finish is also quite nice for a bottle of this price.
What are New Riff Bourbon’s strongest attributes/flavors?
New Riff Bourbon’s strongest attribute is the amount of flavor and bold finish you get for a $40 bottle.
It is honestly one of the best buys on the market for this price and if you want to spend just $10 more you can upgrade to the New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon which is one of my favorite go-to whiskeys.
Is New Riff Bourbon a go-to whiskey?
New Riff Bourbon is absolutely a go-to whiskey.
This is one that I could easily sip on and enjoy and feel comfortable enjoying since it is readily available on the shelves all the time for a replacement.
This has also been a bit hit when I have guests over and usually comes out as a clear winner when doing blind comparisons.
Is New Riff Bourbon priced accurately to its quality?
New Riff Bourbon definitely delivers on its price tag.
This bottle is right up there for me with other big competitors like Elijah Craig, Old Forester, and Wild Turkey Rare Breed.
Conclusion for New Riff Bottled-In-Bond Bourbon
New Riff Bottled-In-Bond bourbon is a bottle I will always have on my shelf.
Although, I do prefer the New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon and will almost always opt for the bottle over this one even though it’s a little more expensive.
If you haven’t had New Riff Bourbon before, do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle.
