Is Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey an Approachable Whiskey?
Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey is smooth and pleasant on the nose, but a little lacking on the palate and finish.
It has the Michter’s typical caramel, oak, spice, and pepper notes but they just aren’t as prominent as in the Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon which is the same price.
Is Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey Complex?
Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey has your typical Michter’s flavors, they just don’t seem quite as layered and prominent as in other Michter’s bottles.
While still a good whiskey, I feel like this bottle should be in the $25-35 price range.
What are Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey’s strongest attribute would be its spice and pepper notes that go excellently in cocktails.
When I visited Michter’s in Louisville, Kentucky we had some of the best cocktails of our life and a few of them were made with this Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey.
Is Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey a go-to whiskey?
Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey is easy enough to drink and has some decent flavors, but I would always choose the Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon over this bottle.
Is Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey priced accurately to its quality?
I think this bottle of Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey would be perfectly priced at $35.
At the $50 price range, it just doesn’t deliver on that price tag for me.
Conclusion for Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey
If someone gave me a pour of this bottle, I would certainly enjoy it.
It has nice flavors, an easy finish, and nice rye spice and pepper notes on the tail end that I rather enjoy.
But when it comes to reviewing and determining whether this bottle is worth the price tag, I would say to buy the Michter’s Small Batch at the same price all day long.
