Is Heaven’s Door Double Barrel an Approachable Whiskey?

Heaven’s Door Double Barrel has a beat of heat.

It is 100 Proof and it lets you know it.

Is Heaven’s Door Double Barrel Complex?

Heaven’s Door Double Barrel isn’t too complex. It’s mostly caramel and oak (which isn’t a bad thing) and has a little bit of pepper, spice, and fruits on the finish.

What are Heaven’s Door Double Barrel’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Heaven’s Door Double Barrel’s strongest attribute is its heavy oak. The double barreling really leaves you with a lot of oak flavors, but also a bit of metallic burn char notes that aren’t particularly my favorite.

Is Heaven’s Door Double Barrel a go-to whiskey?

Heaven’s Door Double Barrel isn’t exactly a go-to whiskey.

It has a bit of heat to it and for the $50 price point, I think there are betting options available like New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon and Old Forester 1910.

Is Heaven’s Door Double Barrel priced accurately to its quality?

I do think Heaven’s Door Double Barrel delivers on its price though. It does exactly what it says it’s going to do and that’s to present a double-oaked whiskey.

Conclusion for Heaven’s Door Double Barrel

Heaven’s Door is an interesting whiskey because it was a collaboration with Bob Dylan.

The decorative bottle not only looks nice on a shelf but is supposed to display Bob Dylan’s welded iron gates that he created from objects collected from scrap yards across the United States.

It’s even got Bob Dylan’s signature as an easter egg on the inside of the front label of the bottle.

Overall, it’s a really neat bottle to have in my collection and I am happy to taste it and review it for you today.
