For a bottle that costs less than $20, you get a lot of flavor for the price.

It has a nice honey and brown sugar sweetness to it that is followed up by rich light fruits like apples, apricots, hints of banana, and raisin.

On the palate, you get a bit more of the oak notes layered with light peat and smoke.

Overall, this pour is easily worth the cost of admission and you get a lot more flavor than you’d expect.

Conclusion for Glengarry Highland Blended Scotch

Glengarry Highland Blended Scotch is a much better Scotch whisky than I anticipated.

I have seen it on the shelf and never purchased it, but decided to give it a shot and an honest review.

I have to say, I was quite impressed.

While this Scotch whisky isn’t going to blow your mind with flavor or be in your top 10 whisky list, it is an excellent buy if you’re looking for a nice bottle of Scotch on a budget.

My guess is that if you put this bottle in a blind taste test with your friends, it might shake up the results and add a little action to the tasting.

And if you’re looking to spend a little more money, I absolutely recommend upgrading to the Glengarry Highland Single Malt Scotch for about $15 more.

It’s absolutely worth the price and packs a lot more flavor than the blended bottle, but also costs about twice as much.

I found this Scotch on the shelf of Magruder’s in D.C. at a very good price. Although I love my single malts, I also like to have something around to drink on the rocks and watch TV. I’ve been drinking Grant’s, Dewars both White and 12 year, Chivas Regal, Old Parr, and occasionally Johnny Walker Red and Black because it was my mother’s favorite. I started buying this whenever I’m near Magruder’s. It really is an exceptional bargain. It is the same price as Grant’s , but shine above all of the non 12 year old options. I just picked up a bottle of Glengary 12 year old Single Malt and have high expectations. It was also only $40. Not bad for a 12 year old single malt!

Yeah, a great deal for the price. I don’t think I’ve had Grant’s or Old Parr yet, so I’ll keep an eye out for those. We have a limited selection here in Pennsylvania, but maybe I’ll be able to find and review those when I’m traveling sometime. Thanks for the input.
