Finish: Big bold finish with an extremely rich oily and buttery mouthfeel – leaves you with intense oak and caramel that twists into a strong level of heat full of rye spice and black pepper

Booker’s Charlie’s Batch is an extremely powerful blast of flavor that will light up your taste buds.
This whiskey is not recommended for beginners.
Is Booker’s Charlie’s Batch Complex?
Booker’s Charlie’s Batch has a lot of layers of flavor.
The nose lets the oak and caramel shine as well as an entire orchestra of flavors that blend well together and will have you finding something new each time it passes your nose.
On the palate, you get bold oak and rich caramel right away.
That is followed up by a nice balance of vanilla, baking spice, a bit of cinnamon, and a little bit of fruit.
Once that passes, you get the full show of Charlie’s Batch which is the wide array of spices and pepper notes.
What are Booker’s Charlie’s Batch’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Charlie’s Batch really brings out some strong spices and peppery notes that you won’t often find in Bourbons.
While the pour does have a lot of heat with its 63.3% ABV, it makes up for it with the amount of flavor packed into each sip.
Is Booker’s Charlie’s Batch a go-to whiskey?
Booker’s are limited edition releases that come out 4 times per year.
Since this is a pretty limited bottle I reserve this one for special occasions.
Is Booker’s Charlie’s Batch priced accurately to its quality?
Booker’s Charlie’s Batch does deliver on its price tag.
For $99 you get a bottle of whiskey that has more flavor than most any other bourbon you will find on the market.
With that being said, only purchase this bottle if you are a fan of high-ABV or cask-strength whiskeys.
This is not a bottle for the meek.
Conclusion for Booker’s Charlie’s Batch
Booker’s Charlie’s Batch is a nice addition to the Booker’s lineup.
I still think my favorite is the Booker’s Lumberyard Batch, but this batch offers some unique characteristics.
If you’re a fan of strong whiskeys and have the chance to get a pour of this bottle, I recommend you give it a shot.
