Ardbeg Corryvreckan has a lot of depth and flavor.
It is heavy with peat and smokiness and offers a nearly perfectly balanced level of peat and sweetness.
Below the heavy top layer of peat is a nice caramel and brown sugar sweetness paired with vanilla, oak, and light fruits that blends extremely well with the bold peat and smokiness.
On the finish, you’re left with a heavy oily mouthfeel packed full of pepper and spice.

It offers such a wonderful balance of flavors and isn’t just a one-trick pony.

When I’m in the mood for a nice peaty Scotch, I will usually go with either Ardbeg Corryvreckan, Laphroaig Lore, or surprisingly the cheaper bottle of The Big Peat.
This bottle of Ardbeg Corryvreckan is a prime example of peaty Scotch done at its finest.
