Is Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101 an Approachable Whiskey?

Maker’s Mark 101 is a very approachable whisky. It’s very easy to drink and has a lot of nice flavors that nearly everyone will enjoy.

While this bottle is 101 proof versus the standard Maker’s Mark which is 90 proof, the additional proof adds a whole ton of flavor to this bottle.

Is Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101 Complex?

Maker’s Mark 101 has a few layers of flavors more than the standard Maker’s Mark whisky.

I can taste the additional flavor of caramel and toffee and also a bit more oak in this pour.

It still retains the nice citrus notes and it has a fuller finish which I rather enjoy.

What are Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101’s strongest attribute is that it has a big bold caramel toffee flavor to it.

It has a lot of flavor but doesn’t overpower your taste buds from the additional ABV.

Is Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101 a go-to whiskey?

Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101 is surprisingly only $7 more than the standard bottle of Maker’s Mark and that is a price I would easily pay.

While the standard Maker’s Mark is also quite tasty, I prefer the additional flavors packed into this bottle.

Is Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101 priced accurately to its quality?

Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101 delivers on its price tag.

For a bottle below $40, you get all the classic bourbon flavors with a nice, full finish.

Conclusion for Maker’s Mark Limited Release 101

Maker’s Mark is always a solid choice of whisky. I don’t think I’ve ever really been disappointed with a bottle I’ve gotten from them and this bottle is no exception.

If you see this one on the shelf, I’d recommend picking it up and giving it a shot compared to your standard Maker’s Mark. I think you’ll appreciate the additional flavors this one holds.
