Maybe it’s because the bold and rich flavors mask the heat, but Wild Turkey Rare Breed is one of those bold bourbons that I think beginners and experienced whiskey drinkers will both appreciate.

Wild Turkey excels at what it sets out to do. It offers the exact flavors you’d want from a bourbon. Heavy caramel notes with bold oak lead the charge followed by just a bit of spice and charred barrel on the finish. Not particularly complex in any way, but it hits the spot it set out to hit. And it’s certainly a heavy hitter.
