Distillery: The Glenlivet

Region: Speyside, Scotland

Bottling: 12 Year Double Oak

ABV: 40% or 80 Proof

Price: ~ $55

Appearance: Honey, worn gold coin, thin legs, clear.

Nose: An indoor farmers market in the fall, tart, fresh produce, fruit, straw.

Palate: Bright, clean and light, green apples, apricot. The finish is soft and buttery, but not short.

Final Assessment: This is a good whisky. It is very approachable and it would make a good daily sipper for sure, but for me, this scotch lacks complexity. It is not “challenging” and does not stand out amongst others. I give this whisky  a 72/100.
