Is Redemption Rye an Approachable Whiskey?
Redemption Rye is a very approachable whiskey.
It has a nice layer of sweetness that its flavor profile is built on.
It initially reminds me of those honey sticks you could get at your local farmer’s markets.
The honey sweetness is extremely dominant and is quite enjoyable.
Layered on top of that is a well-rounded balance of rye grain and spice flavors.
It’s not a hot and spicy flavor profile like many rye whiskeys, but more spiced dessert flavors.
Is Redemption Rye Complex?
Redemption Rye does have quite a few layers of flavor and a bit of depth and complexity.
While it’s not overly complex, it does have easily distinguishable qualities that you won’t find in all rye whiskeys.
The first is the rich and sweet honey flavor.
If you’re a person who generally likes green tea and honey, this is a whiskey you’re probably going to enjoy.
It has very nice earthy herbal and floral notes that are a real delight to drink.
What are Redemption Rye’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Redemption Rye’s strongest attribute would be the unique honey flavor it has layered with a wide array of rye grain, spice, herbal, and floral notes, with hints of light fruits sprinkled in.
Is Redemption Rye a go-to whiskey?
Redemption Rye is many of my friend’s go-to whiskey.
It is easy to drink, it’s affordable, and it’s a whiskey that both experience whiskey drinkers and beginners will enjoy.
It also has just the right kick of rye grain and spice to really spice up an old-fashioned cocktail or to serve guests after a nice dinner.
Is Redemption Rye priced accurately to its quality?
Redemption Rye delivers on its price tag.
It offers exactly what it advertises and that is a well-rounded, easy-to-drink rye whiskey full of flavor.
I probably wouldn’t spend a ton more than the $30-35 price tag, but at the price, it is a nice deal.
Conclusion for Redemption Rye
Redemption Rye whiskey is a perfect bottle for anyone who is looking for a moderately priced rye whiskey full of rye grain and spice.
This bottle is always a success at parties and is a great bottle to bring as a gift.
This is also a whiskey that you can serve to people who say they “don’t like whiskey” and will usually give this one a double take as they pour another sample to reconsider their stance on whiskey.
If you haven’t tried Redemption Rye whiskey yet, do yourself a favor and buy yourself a bottle.
It will likely become a staple behind your bar.
