Is Penelope Toasted an Approachable Whiskey?
Penelope Toasted is not a whiskey for beginners. It packs a lot of punch and you will feel it right away.
Is Penelope Toasted Series Complex?
Penelope Toasted has a nice level of complexity to it. At its base level, you get the caramel and toasted oak flavors. These are pretty in your face and hit you right off the bat.
As you continue to sip on this one, you start to notice more of the spices – especially cinnamon. It then turns and reminds me of a buttery pastry like an almond chocolate croissant.
The combination of all of the flavors is quite pleasant and I notice a bit more on each sip.
What are Penelope Toasted’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Penelope Toasted’s strongest attribute and flavors are exactly what it advertises – bold toasted oak and caramel flavors. You’ll get these with each and every sip.
Is Penelope Toasted a go-to whiskey?
The Penelope Toasted series is by far the best go-to whiskey of the Penelope lineup. It’s got a 57% ABV but it is very enjoyable to drink. It offers just the right amount of heat to match the bold flavors it contains.
Is Penelope Toasted Series priced accurately to its quality?
I think Penelope Toasted Series is priced accurately to its quality. Of the entire Penelope lineup, I think this one is the one that best delivers on its price tag.
Conclusion for Penelope Toasted Series
Of the entire Penelope lineup, the Penelope Toasted Series is easily my favorite. Not only is it worth the price tag, but I think it completely delivers on what it advertises.
