Palate: Sweet caramel, cherry fruit notes, toasted oak, vanilla, powdered sugar, buttery brown sugared cinnamon toast, light pepper, cinnamon spice
Finish: Smooth and easy finish with a nice mouthfeel – leaves you with a pleasant fruit sweetness and a lingering pepper spice on the tail end

Penelope Bourbon Rose Cask Finish is quite an approachable whiskey.
The nose is very inviting with nice fruit flavors and the palate offers nicely balanced flavors.
This is a whiskey that both beginners and experienced whiskey drinkers will enjoy.
Is Penelope Bourbon Rosè Cask Finish Complex?
Penelope Bourbon Rose Cask Finish has a few layers of complexity and flavors.
The Rosè finish really adds a lot more fruit notes than I would have expected, especially on the nose.
It has very pleasant sugary fruit notes that shine through very nicely.
On the palate, you get a lot of flavor from both the Rosè finish as well as the oak and caramel flavors from the original aging in American oak barrels.

Penelope Rosè Cask Finish’s strongest attribute is the amount of sweet fruit flavors you get on both the nose and the palate.
I’ve had quite a few Penelope bottles before and this is definitely one of my favorites.
Is Penelope Bourbon Rosè Cask Finish a go-to whiskey?
Penelope Bourbon Rosè Cask Finish is a very easy whiskey to drink and could be a go-to whiskey if it were easier to find in my area.
I purchased this bottle in Ohio because I have never seen it released in Pennsylvania, so for now, I will hold this bottle aside from special occasions.
Is Penelope Bourbon Rosè Cask Finish priced accurately to its quality?
While there are plenty of whiskeys on the shelf at the $60 price range, this bottle does have a very nice flavor to it that I have not found in many whiskeys.
It captures the sweet fruit flavors of the Rosè finish in a way that really enhances this bottle well above the standard bottle of Penelope bourbon.
Conclusion for Penelope Bourbon Rosè Cask Finish
I’ve had quite a few bottles of Penelope Bourbon and this Rosè cask finish is one of my favorites.
I would probably put this one up there with the Penelope Architect Build 7 and the Penelope Toasted Series.
All-in-all, I’m pretty happy with this purchase.
If you see it on the shelf, this one is worth picking up.
