Is Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select Approachable?

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select is very approachable. It is extremely easy to drink and leaves you with much less heat than I expected. With the 47% ABV, I would have thought it would have burned your mouth a bit more on the first sip, but it went down very smoothly.

Is Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select Complex?

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select does have multiple layers of flavor. It starts with the dark fruits on the sweetness and dark fruits on the nose and layers on top of that with caramel and vanilla flavors and finishing out with spices and charred oak flavors on the end.

What are Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel was a pleasant surprise. Its strongest attribute would be the smooth flavors it offered the entire way through. Compared to the normal Jack Daniel’s No. 7 and Gentleman Jack, the Single Barrel Select offers far more flavor in all departments.

Is Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select a go-to whiskey?

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select would be an excellent choice as a go-to whiskey. Even though it has a $50 price tag, it far exceeds the lower-tier Jack Daniel’s offerings.

Is Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select priced accurately to its quality?

I do think Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select is priced accurately to its quality. While I wish it were a little cheaper so I could buy it all the time, I think everyone would be satisfied with their purchase of this bottle at the $50 price tag.

Overall Conclusions on Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey

If you’re trying to determine whether Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select is worth the price tag, I would highly recommend spending the extra $15 to get this bottle over Gentleman Jack. It offers so much more complexity in flavor and goes down just as smooth.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with this bottle. It surprised me and offered more than what I expected from a bottle of Jack Daniel’s.

I hope you enjoyed this tasting experience with me.
