Is Green Spot an Approachable Whiskey?
Green Spot is a bold Irish Whiskey.
It is packed with a ton of flavors and full of oak spice, honey sweetness, and fruit notes.
This whiskey will likely be a bit much for beginners, but experienced whiskey drinkers will enjoy it.
Is Green Spot Complex?
Green Spot is a bit complex and has a nice level of depth and flavor.
It still has the sweet honey and fruit notes of an Irish whiskey, but it really picks up a lot of flavor from the American Oak barrels which give it a nice oaky spice and rich flavor.
What are Green Spot’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Green Spot’s strongest attribute is that it really accentuates the sweet and fruit flavors of an Irish Whiskey while also capturing the oaky spice flavors of a bourbon barrel.
Is Green Spot a go-to whiskey?
Green Spot could easily be a go-to whiskey.
While it does cost $70, it packs an amount of flavor that is quite enjoyable and I could see myself drinking often.
Is Green Spot priced accurately to its quality?
Green Spot delivers right around its price tag.
I would be a lot more likely to recommend this bottle if it were in the $50-60 price range, but it does still deliver even in the $70 range.
Conclusion for Green Spot
The main reason I think this bottle delivers on the $70 price range is that it really has a lovely finish.
With every sip, you are left with a nice buttery and oily mouthfeel that sticks around for a very long time.
Most Irish Whiskey is light and fruity, whereas this one is bold and heavy in flavor with a very rich finish.
If you’re interested in trying an Irish Whiskey that isn’t quite so sweet as you’re used to, I’d recommend giving this one a shot.
