Is Four Roses Single Barrel an Approachable Whiskey?

Four Roses Single Barrel is a very approachable whiskey. It has a little bit of heat on it with the 50% ABV, but the lovely flavor combinations make it worth it.

Beginner whiskey drinkers may have a little trouble with this one, but an experienced whiskey drinker will appreciate the depth of flavors in this one.

Is Four Roses Single Barrel Complex?

Four Roses Single Barrel has a nice level of complexity to its flavors.

It has all your standard bourbon flavors like caramel, toasted oak, and vanilla, but it adds to that.

It has an excellent dark fruit note to it that really stands out and wakes up your taste buds.

All that is blended well in the finish where it morphs over into brown sugar and cinnamon with a bit of pepper spice as a finale.

What are Four Roses Single Barrel’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Four Roses Single Barrel’s strongest attribute is how well all the flavors shine through.

No specific flavor dominates the flavor profile and you get a rollercoaster of tastes as the sip progresses.

Is Four Roses Single Barrel a go-to whiskey?

Four Roses Single Barrel is absolutely a go-to whiskey.

It has all the flavors you could want and a pretty decent price point.

Is Four Roses Single Barrel priced accurately to its quality?

I think Four Roses Single Barrel delivers perfectly for its price point.

At $50, you get a solid quintessential bourbon with a few additional layers of flavor added on top of it.

Conclusion for Four Roses Single Barrel

Four Roses Single Barrel is a must-have bottle of whiskey for your bar. While there are whiskeys that are better out there, you’re gonna have to pay the extra price for them.

Four Roses is one of my standard go-to whiskeys and the single barrel is a prime candidate for an everyday sipper.

*Final Note: Keep in mind that Four Roses has 10 different combinations of mash bill and yeast strains. When you purchase a bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel, you can get any one of those combinations. If you see a bottle from the same warehouse as mine, you will get the same flavors as the one I just tasted.
