Is Evan Williams Bottled In Bond an Approachable Whiskey?

Evan Williams Bottled in Bond is very easy to drink. It also offers a lot of classic bourbon flavors and doesn’t really have any faults. This is a whiskey a beginner could easily drink, but also one that experienced whiskey drinkers will appreciate (especially in a blind taste test).

Is Evan Williams Bottled In Bond Complex?

Evan Williams Bottled in Bond isn’t extremely complex, but it does offer far more layers than you would expect from a $17 bottle.

You get very rich caramel, vanilla, and oak right off the bat which is what you would hope for from a traditional bourbon. On top of that, you get the higher proof point which gives you that extra texture and mouthfeel that helps this bottle stand out a bit.

Is Evan Williams Bottled In Bond a go-to whiskey?

This is my first time trying Evan Williams Bottled in Bond and it is absolutely a contender for my top go-to whiskeys from now on. I’m always a fan of Elijah Craig, Old Forester, and Wild Turkey 101, but this one contends with all of those.

While I don’t think I would say this is better than any of those other bottles, it would easily be a solid option if you’re looking for a bottle of whiskey on a budget.

Is Evan Williams Bottled In Bond priced accurately to its quality?

Evan Williams Bottled In Bond delivers above its price tag. If I had tasted this pour blind, I would have expected it to be a $30 bottle.

Conclusion for Evan Williams Bottled In Bond

Evan Williams Bottled In Bond was a pleasant surprise for me. It’s one of the lowest-priced bottles of whiskey I have on my shelves, but you would never know it.

While it doesn’t beat out its $30-40 competition, it can at least hold its own against them. I normally don’t recommend bottles at this price point all that often, but I would say to pick this one up next time you see it.

I’m going to be experimenting with this one in cocktails to see if I can take advantage of the oily nut notes that I got on the nose and palate.
