Nose: Caramel, honey, brown sugar, buttered toast, vanilla, raisin, candied fruits, apricot, apple

Palate: Smooth, rich, caramel and sugar cane, heavy fruit flavors, raisin, candied apricot, crisp apple, lemon zest, white pepper, oak

Finish: Long smooth finish that leaves you with a lovely mouthfeel full of sweet sugar and fruit that finishes out with a light spice and oak notes

Balvenie Caribbean Cask is very easy to drink and goes down smoothly.

It’s full of sweet caramel and sugar flavors followed by rich fruits that make this an easy whisky for anyone to enjoy.

Is Balvenie Caribbean Cask Complex?

Balvenie Caribbean Cask has a lot of layers of flavor.

It starts with sweet honey, caramel, and sugar cane.

It then hits your taste buds with big and bold fruit flavors full of fresh raisins, candied apricot, citrus zest, and apple.

Then on the tail end of the finish, it rounds everything out with a nice touch of oak and light pepper.

What are Balvenie Caribbean Cask’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Balvenie Caribbean Cask’s strongest attribute is that it is an extremely easy pour full of sweet sugar and fruit flavors.

The additional finishing in Caribbean Rum Casks adds a sugar cane note to the normal Balvenie flavor profile and it works very well.

Is Balvenie Caribbean Cask a go-to whisky?

Balvenie Caribbean Cask is one of my own go-to whiskies.

The prices have been climbing a little bit recently, it’s still priced at a level that I will almost always have a bottle of this on my shelf.

Is Balvenie Caribbean Cask priced accurately to its quality?

Balvenie Caribbean Cask definitely delivers on its price tag.

Whisky prices are climbing and this bottle is no exception. It used to be $70 which was a steal but I do think it’s worth the price even at $90.

Conclusion for Balvenie Caribbean Cask

I really hope this bottle doesn’t go up in price much more because it is one that I drink all the time.

Balvenie is one of my favorite Scotch distilleries and this bottle is one of the best deals in their lineup.
