Is Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish an Approachable Whiskey?
Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish has a nice nose but has a bit of alcohol and heat on the finish.
I get a lot of nutty, caramel, and vanilla flavors with a solid layer of red fruits, but this finish just takes me a bit out of this one.
Is Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish Complex?
Amador Whiskey Cabernet Sauvignon Finish has a few layers of complexity since it has its base layer coming from Willet Distillery.
On top of the base layers of the Willet Rye whiskey, I do get a layer of red fruits and flavors that would be similar to a red wine.
However, the finish on this one just doesn’t add much to the whiskey.
What are Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish is a bottle that would be great to take to a wine-lovers dinner party so you are still able to drink whiskey while everyone else is drinking their wine.
Is Amador Double Barrel Bourbon – Cabernet Sauvignon Finish a go-to whiskey?
Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish is a whiskey that I would probably serve alongside a dinner party or take to a friend’s house to share with a group of wine lovers.
I can certainly notice the red fruit notes that come from the Cabernet Sauvignon finish, it just doesn’t add to the whiskey a ton.
Is Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish priced accurately to its quality?
Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish is quite pricey for what it delivers.
I would be more likely to purchase a bottle of this again if it were in the $25-30 range.
Conclusion for Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish
Overall, Amador Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Finish is a decent whiskey if you’re a fan of red wines.
You will certainly notice some of the sweeter red fruit notes that you get from finishing a whiskey in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
I would highly recommend checking out Savage and Cooke’s Second Glance Bourbon as well.
It is one of my favorite red-wine finished whiskeys and really balances quite well.
