Is Rabbit Hole Cavehill an Approachable Whiskey?

Rabbit Hole Cavehill is a pretty approachable whiskey.

At first, I was a little puzzled about what flavors I was getting since it didn’t taste like your traditional bourbon.

But after a few sips and paying attention to the mash bill, I started to notice the wheat and malted barley flavor notes.

It’s a pretty smooth whiskey to drink and has a lot of flavor to it so I think both beginners and experienced whiskey drinkers can appreciate this one.

Is Rabbit Hole Cavehill Complex?

Rabbit Hole Cavehill has a few layers of complexity.

With the 70% Corn in the mash bill, I expected this one to be very sweet and caramel-heavy.

Surprisingly, the wheat and malted barley in the mash bill really shine through.

The finish is very smooth and is full of unique flavors.

What are Rabbit Hole Cavehill’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Rabbit Hole Cavehill’s strongest attribute is that it delivers a bourbon with a ton of flavor that throws your taste buds for a loop.

Every time I take a sip of this whiskey, I’m trying to pinpoint a new flavor that I’m noticing break down exactly what is creating the flavors in this one.

Is Rabbit Hole Cavehill a go-to whiskey?

Rabbit Hole Cavehill isn’t a whiskey I would drink all the time, but it is one that adds a nice flavor profile to cocktails.

I know Rabbit Hole has partnered with the popular New York Bar Death & Co. and I have found many of my favorite cocktail recipes from a Death & Company cocktail book I received as a gift years ago.

There is definitely a reason the famous cocktail bar has partnered with the Rabbit Hole distillery.

Is Rabbit Hole Cavehill priced accurately to its quality?

Rabbit Hole Cavehill is a little pricey for a bottle that I enjoy most in cocktails, but if you’re looking for its unique flavor for a specific recipe, you won’t find another whiskey with the same flavor profile.

Conclusion for Rabbit Hole Cavehill

Rabbit Hole Cavehill offers a very unique flavor profile that is enjoyable to drink neat, but even better when used in cocktails.

If you’re looking for a whiskey that will really enhance your favorite whiskey cocktails, this is a great bottle for you.
