Is Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye an Approachable Whiskey?

Alberta Premium Premium Cask Strength Rye is extremely smooth and flavorful for how strong of proof this pour is.

It has a lot of heat and spice to it so beginners may be a bit taken aback but experienced whiskey drinkers will really enjoy what this bottle has to offer.

Is Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye Complex?

Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye has a lot of depth and complexity.

It starts out with a very nice and rich caramel, oak, and vanilla.

It is followed up by candied apples, apricots, and dark fruits.

The real star of the show is the rye spice and pepper.

The finish is big and bold with rich flavors and a lovely oily and buttery mouthfeel.

This pour has one of the best finishes I’ve ever had on a rye whiskey.

What are Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye’s strongest attributes/flavors?

Alberta Premium’s strongest attribute is definitely its finish.

You can feel the mouthfeel kick in before you even swallow your first sip as it coats your entire mouth with a rich oily mouthfeel full of spice and flavor.

Is Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye a go-to whiskey?

Alberta Cask Strength Premium Rye is a little pricey but does offer flavors equal to that warrant its price point.

I’d reserve this one for special occasions when I’m in the mood for a nice rye spice and grain-flavored pour.

This is a great whisky to drink on a cold winter day to get a nice warm feeling in your chest as it goes down.

Is Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye priced accurately to its quality?

Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye delivers on its price tag.

The $75 price point for a rye is usually a bit high but this bottle delivers a ton of flavor and I do think it is worth the purchase.

It’s also readily available at my local store all the time so I like to keep this one on the shelf for when guests come over.

Conclusion for Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye

Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye is one of the best rye whiskeys I’ve had.

It is comparable to my other favorites like New Riff Single Barrel Rye and Peerless Rye.

It’s full of sweet caramel and brown sugar flavors paired with rich fruits and heavy rye grain spices.

If you see this bottle on the shelf, pick up a bottle if you enjoy a nice rye spice in your whiskey.
