Palate: Sweet honey, caramel, lovely fruit notes, raisin, candied apricot, tropical fruits, light oak, vanilla, hints of spice and pepper
Finish: Beautiful long finish that is oily and buttery – leaves you with rich fruit, sweet honey, and linger pepper and spice on the tail end
Is Bruichladdich Classic Laddie an Approachable Whisky?
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie is an excellent and approachable Scotch whisky.
It has sweet balanced flavors blended with hints of oak, spice, and a slight peppery note.
This whisky would be a great introduction to Scotch whisky for beginners, but it’s complex enough to impress even experienced Scotch fans.
Is Bruichladdich Classic Laddie Complex?
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie has a lot of layers of flavor.
The nose is sweet and full of fruit but also has notes of flavors from the barrel.
On the palate, you get an extremely pleasant mouth full of sweet honey and fruit flavors that are so easy to enjoy.
You then get a quick follow-up of oak and spice flavors that fill out the body of flavor on this one.
This second layer of flavor is what really wakes up your taste buds.
You’re left with a finish that coats your entire mouth with a nice oily and buttery mouthfeel packed full of flavor.
30-60 seconds later, you’ll still be enjoying the flavors on this pour if you haven’t already reached for another sip.

Bruichladdich Classic Laddie’s strongest attribute is its clean and refreshing flavor profile.
Oftentimes, you get Scotches that lean a little heavily in one direction when it comes to their flavor profile.
This pour strikes the delicate balance of sweet, spice, and heat on the finish.
Is Bruichladdich Classic Laddie a go-to whisky?
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie is one of my go-to Scotch whiskeys.
I’m a fan of most all the bottles that come from Bruichladdich distillery including the Octomore series and Port Charlotte.
The reason this bottle would be my go-to pour over all the other Bruichladdich whisky is because it is unpeated and it just goes down so easily.
While I love myself a glass of Peated whisky, the Octomore bottles and Port Charlotte are much harder to get in my area so I tend to reserve those for special occasions.
Is Bruichladdich Classic Laddie priced accurately to its quality?
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie absolutely delivers on its price tag.
It is one of the very best Scotch whiskeys you can get for the $60 price tag.

I can’t recommend Bruichladdich’s Classic Laddie enough.
If I were recommending a new whiskey drinker to select bottles for their beginner bar, this bottle would be an absolute must-have.
