Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones – Song of Ice Edition has smooth flavors that focus on sweetness and fruit notes, but on the finish there is a bit of heat that may turn some off from this one.
Is Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones – Song of Ice Complex?
Johnnie Walker Song of Ice has a few layers of complexity.
The nose is quite nice with sweet caramel and honey notes layered with fruit, vanilla, oak, and a little bit of spice.
But on the profile, some of these flavors get subdued and don’t fully carry through.
What are Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones – Song of Ice’s strongest attributes/flavors?
This Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones Edition is a great commemorative tribute to the wildy popular show Game of Thrones and they did an excellent job marketing their whisky.
This particular edition doesn’t strike me as anything better than the standard Johnnie Walker though.
Is Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones – Song of Ice priced accurately to its quality?
This Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones Edition wasn’t all that pricey on release and actually sold at a pretty nice price point of around $50.
Conclusion for Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones – Song of Ice
I think the bottle delivers on that price tag and when the bottle was released, Game of Thrones was taking over the world so it was really cool to go into liquor stores and see a branded bottle of Scotch to purchase and drink alongside the show.
I personally prefer the more bold and spicy Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones Song of Fire Edition to this one, but I usually like the bolder and spicier flavors overall.
