Finish: Medium smooth finish that leaves you with a buttery mouthfeel full of caramel and honey sweetness, light oak, fruits, and a lingering pepper spice

Is Amrut Single Malt Whisky an Approachable Whisky?

Amrut Single Malt Whiskey is a smooth and easy-to-drink whiskey with a lot of flavor.

Scotch drinkers will likely enjoy this pour and bourbon drinkers will appreciate the sweetness and may be taken aback a little by the light smokey notes and grain-forward flavor profile.

Is Amrut Single Malt Whisky Complex?

Amrut Single Malt Whiskey has a few layers of complexity.

Right away, you get a lot of sweetness that reminds me a bit of the caramelized sugar on top of a creme brulee dessert.

You also get a grain-forward flavor from being a single malt and notes of smoke, toasted oak, vanilla, and light fruits.

The pour finishes out with a nice buttery mouthfeel as a result of non-chill filtering that caps off the sip nicely.

Amrut Single Malt Whisky’s strongest attribute is the balance of flavors.

You get an excellent blend of sweetness, oakiness, fruit notes, and a tiny bit of smoke and spice on the tail end.

For a $50 bottle, Amrut Single Malt Whisky is a great deal.

It drinks smoothly and is packed with a ton of flavor. I could easily see myself drinking this on a regular basis if it were easier to find in my area.

Is Amrut Single Malt Whisky priced accurately to its quality?

Amrut Single Malt Whisky delivers on its price tag.

It stacks up quite well with its competitors in the Scotch whisky market and you’ll have a hard time finding a whiskey that is better than this one at the $50 price point.

I’m a fan of this bottle of Amrut Indian Single Malt Whisky.

In my area, it is quite hard to find any Indian whiskey, so when I find the opportunity to buy a bottle I don’t pass it up.

Luckily for me, I managed to get 5 different bottles of Amrut from a local distributor in my area including a bottle of Amrut Spectrum 004 which is one of my all-time favorite whiskeys.

Another excellent Indian Whiskey that is a favorite of mine is Rampur Double Cask Indian Whisky.
