Nose: Earthy, metallic, caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, dark fruits, cinnamon, clove

Finish: Bold finish with a bit of heat to it – leaves you with a nice buttery mouthfeel full of caramel, oak, and cinnamon finish with lingering pepper and spice
Is Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection an Approachable Whiskey?
This Fine Wine and Good Spirits bottle of Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection is quite enjoyable to drink.
It does have a bit of heat to it with its 107 proof so it’s not exactly a whiskey I’d be sharing with a beginner to whiskey.
Is Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection Complex?
This bottle has a few nice layers of flavors.
On the nose, you get all your typical bourbon flavors like caramel, vanilla, and oak but it adds a bit more to it. I get dark fruits, a bit of cherry, and cinnamon and clove shine through.
When you take a sip, it has big bold flavors right away and really invites you in to discover what flavors it contains.
It definitely delivers on the caramel and oak, but what I like more is that it adds a light layer of citrus fruits, cinnamon, and baking spices and finishes out with a nice peppery spice.
The only thing that is a slight drawback on this one is that it is charcoal mellowed which I picked up a lot of earthy and metallic notes on the nose and a little bit in the flavor.
What are Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection’s strongest attributes/flavors?
Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection really leaves you with an excellent finish. I always appreciate a nice oily, buttery mouthfeel and this bottle certainly delivers on that.
In addition, the flavors that linger are really bold and enjoyable.
Is Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection a go-to whiskey?
This particular bottle of Ezra Brooks is a bottle I would save for special occasions when I need a bold sipper.
While it’s not an expensive bottle, it’s one that I really enjoy and would reserve for nights when I’m in the mood for a heavy hitter.
Is Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection priced accurately to its quality?
This bottle of Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection was a steal at the MSRP price.
